Electronics and e-waste

Old TVs and computers cannot go in a Texas landfill in many cities, and they are heavy. The crew picks them up with everything else and takes them to an electronics recycler.

How electronics and e-waste is priced

A TV is one single-item price. A box of small electronics rides free with any other pickup. Tube and projection TVs are heavy and some recyclers charge for them; where they do, it is inside your price.

Before we arrive

  • Wipe or remove hard drives if the data matters to you. The crew does not wipe devices.
  • Unplug everything and bundle the cables.
  • Tell us about a tube TV or a projection TV so two people are scheduled to carry it.

Where it goes

Electronics go to an electronics recycler, not the landfill. Under Texas law, computer and TV makers must offer free take-back of their own brands, and your crew uses those programs where they are practical.

Good to know in Texas

Texas requires computer and television manufacturers to run free recycling programs for their own brands, which is why some retailers will take a laptop but not a TV. The crew sorts that out for you and takes both.

Electronics and e-waste questions

Do you take old TVs?

Yes, including heavy tube and projection TVs. Tell us the type when you book so the crew brings two people.

Is my data safe on an old computer?

Remove or wipe the hard drive first if the data matters. The crew does not wipe or erase devices.

Where do the electronics go?

To an electronics recycler or a manufacturer take-back program. Texas law requires computer and TV makers to offer free recycling for their own brands.

Can you clear out a whole office of computers?

Yes. Bulk office electronics are priced by truck space. Ask about a certificate of recycling if your company needs one.

Do you take printers and copiers?

Yes. Large office copiers are heavy; mention the size when you book.
