Booking and price

How do I get a price?

Enter your ZIP code, say whether you want a crew or a dumpster, and pick how much is going. The price range for your local GoneDay location shows straight away, before you give us your name. You can also call and get the same price over the phone.

Is the online price the final price?

It is the range for the load size you picked. On the day the crew looks at what is actually going, tells you the exact price inside that range, and nothing starts until you say yes. If it is less than you thought, you pay less. If you say no, you owe nothing.

What is included in the price?

For junk removal: the crew, the lifting and loading, the drive and the dump fee for ordinary items, plus a sweep-up. For a dumpster: delivery, pickup, the rental days and the dump fee for the weight included with that size. The pricing guide lists the few things that can add to it, such as very heavy material or items with their own disposal fee.

How soon can you come?

Often the next day, and the same day when your local crew has room in its schedule. When you book you ask for a day and an arrival window. Your local crew confirms it, and texts again when they set off.

Do I pay anything when I book?

No. Booking holds your time, and for junk removal you pay when the job is done and you are happy with it. For a dumpster, your local owner tells you when payment is due when you book.

Can I change or cancel my booking?

Yes. Reply to your confirmation text or call your local crew and they will move it to a day that suits you. Any fee for a late cancellation is set by your local GoneDay location and shown to you before you confirm the booking.

Can I send a photo for a quote?

Yes. Where your local crew lists a text number on its page, text them a photo of the pile and they will tell you which load size it is. The price is still confirmed in person before any work starts.

On the day

Who turns up?

A two-person crew from your local GoneDay owner, in a GoneDay truck. You get a text with the crew's name when they set off, inside the arrival window you picked.

Do I have to carry anything to the curb?

No. The crew takes items from wherever they sit: upstairs, the attic, the back yard, a storage unit. Point at what goes and they carry it.

Do I need to be there?

Someone 18 or over needs to show the crew what goes and agree the price before they start. If you cannot be there, tell us when you book and your local crew will tell you how they can confirm with you by phone.

What if I have more or less than I booked?

The crew sizes the real load on the day and the price follows the same load sizes you saw online, up or down. They tell you before loading, and you decide.

What happens to my things?

Where a charity or resale store near you accepts them, usable furniture and goods go there instead of the landfill. Metal and electronics go to recyclers. What is left goes to the local transfer station or landfill. Ask your crew what happened to yours and they will tell you.

What will you not take?

Paint, solvents, oil, fuel and other chemicals; propane tanks; asbestos; medical waste and needles; car batteries and tires in most areas. If you are not sure about an item, ask when you book and the crew will tell you before the day.

Dumpsters

Which dumpster size do I need?

A 10 yard takes a bathroom remodel or a garage cleanout. A 20 yard takes a kitchen, a flooring job or a single-layer roof. A 30 yard clears a whole house. A 40 yard is for new builds and big demolition. If you are between two sizes, the bigger one is almost always cheaper than ordering a second dumpster. The dumpster page shows them side by side.

Do I need a permit?

Not for a dumpster on your own driveway. Many Texas cities want a permit for a dumpster on the street, and the rules differ from one city to the next. Your local GoneDay owner knows what your city asks for and will tell you when you book.

What if I go over the weight limit?

Each size includes a set weight, shown on the dumpster page. Over that, there is a per-ton fee. Concrete, dirt, brick and shingles are heavy, so tell us if the load is mostly those and we will set you up with the right dumpster for it.

Why is a dumpster not offered in my area?

Dumpsters are offered only where the local GoneDay owner runs roll-off trucks and bins. Where they do not, a junk removal crew can usually clear the same job, often for a similar price, and you do not have to lift anything.

GoneDay and your area

Is GoneDay a national company?

GoneDay is a Texas network of locally owned hauling companies working under one name, with one booking system and one price promise. Each location is independently owned and operated, so the people who turn up are local, and the booking, pricing and texting work the same everywhere.

Do you cover my area?

Check your ZIP code on the where we work page. GoneDay is opening in Texas one local owner at a time. If we are not in your area yet, leave your details and we will contact you when a crew covers it.

Will you text me?

Only if you tick the box when you book. Then you get a confirmation, a text when the crew sets off and, if needed, a text about your booking. Reply STOP at any time to stop them. Full details on the text messages page.

Still have a question?

Call or text your local crew and a person answers. Or start a booking: it shows your price in about a minute and you can stop at any step.
